Is this jewelry really permanent?
We have sourced the highest quality materials in order to provide an exceptional experience for wearers of our Forever Jewelry and it is created to endure normal daily wear. Like any bracelet or necklace, it can (and should) break or stretch if it catches on something or is pulled on too hard. We also understand that some medical procedures will require the removal of your Forever Jewelry. To remove, simply cut the welded link with scissors, wire cutter, or a nail clipper.
If your Forever Jewelry comes off or needs to be taken off before you're ready to part with it, simply bring it back in and we will be happy to re-weld it. Re-welds within the first two weeks of receiving your jewelry are complimentary and subsequent re-welds will incur a service charge of $5. If your jewelry comes off and is lost we will replace it at 60% off the original purchase price with receipt or proof of appointment.
Does it hurt?
Not at all; the entire process is completely painless! You will see a quick flash of light from the welding pen, but you won't feel a thing. As an extra layer of precaution and to give you peace of mind, your skin will be protected by a leather guard while your Forever Jewelry is applied and we will ask you to wear welding-grade dark protective glasses as a safeguard for your vision.
How long does it take?
The entire Forever Jewelry experience is fairly quick! As soon as you've selected your jewelry style you'll be on your way within 10 minutes.
What chain options do you have?
So many! We have over 40 different chains at any given time. Options are available in 14k solid gold, 14k yellow, white, or rose gold filled, and sterling silver. Stop in or send us a message for more info on our chain options!
How much does forever jewelry cost?
We are proud to offer the most competitive pricing packages in the area for the best selection and highest quality materials. Our jewelry starts at $58 for a sterling silver bracelet. For detailed pricing information, please contact us.
Do you have any heavy/bold chains for Forever Jewelry?
For safety reasons we only offer our welded Forever Jewelry in relatively dainty options. In the unlikely event that your Forever bracelet, necklace, or anklet were to catch on something that may have the potential to cause you harm, your jewelry should be able to break with a bit of force. If you prefer a bolder chain style, we do carry a few options and are happy to custom fit them to you and close them with an un-welded jump ring or an added clasp.
Do I need to make an appointment?
Forever Jewelry applications take very little time and you are welcome to walk in, but appointments are strongly encouraged. This allows our staff to prepare for you and ensure that you have the very best experience possible. If you come in without an appointment please be prepared for the possibility of a brief wait. Will my Forever Jewelry tarnish or turn my skin green?
We've selected the highest quality materials for our Forever Jewelry and it is made to last. Both the 14k gold filled and 14k solid gold will maintain their shine with very little upkeep. Sterling silver is a beautiful and cost-effective option for a piece of Forever Jewelry, but it is prone to oxidation and may look darker over time without proper care. We will ensure that you know how to properly care for your Forever Jewelry and have the tools to do so before you leave your appointment. In rare cases, some people may experience mild discoloration from their Forever Jewelry due to their unique body chemistry, and this can be exacerbated by sweat. If you experience this, simply wash your skin and jewelry thoroughly with mild soap and water or one of our jewelry care products and you’ll be good as new.
Can I take my Forever Jewelry through airport security?
You can! TSA does not require passengers to remove fine jewelry, so you can go right on through airport security checkpoints without worrying about any Forever Jewelry.
Can my Forever Jewelry get wet?
Absolutely. Your Forever Jewelry can go with you wherever you go- the shower, the bath, the pool, the lake, or the sea! As with any jewelry, we do recommend rinsing your Forever Jewelry with clean water after exposure to chlorinated or salt water.
Is Forever Jewelry just chains?
In addition to several chain options, we offer a selection of high quality 14k gold filled and sterling silver charms to customize your Forever Jewelry. Our staff will help you design a customized piece that you'll cherish forever. We can also special order fine jewelry connectors and charms made with 14k solid gold and precious gemstones. Can I get a Forever Jewelry ring?
Because ring size is more likely to fluctuate significantly than wrist, ankle, or neck size, we have opted not to offer Forever Jewelry rings at Field & Finch. Significant size fluctuations can lead to a “permanent" ring either slipping off or, more dangerously, becoming uncomfortably tight. We have decided that permanent rings just aren’t worth the potential risk or the cost to our clients.
Can I get Forever Jewelry made of fine jewelry materials?
Yes! The majority of the bracelets, anklets, and necklaces that we do are created with high quality gold-filled chains, but we offer multiple options for 14k solid gold, in yellow, white, and rose gold. We can also accommodate special requests for solid gold and fine gemstone charms and connectors, including natural and lab-created diamonds, sapphires, emeralds, and many others! We do not keep fine gemstone charms or connectors on-hand at this time, so if you would like to purchase this type of Forever Jewelry, please let us know ahead of time so that we can place the appropriate orders in time for your appointment.
I have a piece of clasped jewelry I’d like to have made into Forever Jewelry- is that possible?
Of course. We are honored that you trust us with jewelry that is special to you. We will turn any solid gold, sterling silver, or gold filled bracelet, necklace, or anklet into Forever Jewelry by welding it on for a service fee of $20. Any leftover links or findings will be sent home with you in a precious jewelry pouch. For safety purposes, we will not weld stainless steel onto anyone, and we reserve the right to decline welding a piece that would be unsafe to wear as permanent jewelry due to its size, weight, or design.
Can children get Forever Jewelry?
We will weld permanent jewelry onto children aged 5+ whose parent or guardian is present, but we strongly encourage all grown-ups to consider whether permanent jewelry fits in with their child’s lifestyle before welding, keeping in mind that any jewelry can get caught on things and has the potential to cause injury in some rare situations. For those under age 5, or for anyone who is not ready to commit to forever, we are more than happy to custom fit a piece of jewelry and add a clasp (along with any charms you select) for a small additional fee so that everyone can get in on the custom jewelry fun!
Can I host a Forever Jewelry party for my birthday/sorority/bachelorette/girls night?
